Alice is from Kakamega in the Western Province but moved to Kibera in 1998 as life is cheaper there.
Her husband is a pastor and before working at Kipepeo Designs she had a knitting machine. She became sick and had to sell it to pay for medical fees.
Her children have sickle cell anaemia which she finds very difficult. Kipepeo has given her strength to Look after her three children, her nephew and her husband. She is able to share her problems with the Kipepeo women and it makes her feel happy.
Role at Kipepeo
Alice is a card designer. She is responsible for putting the cards together, including the design, once the paper is made.
Hopes for the future
Alice's dream is to buy a new knitting machine and start up her business again.
